Profile

Jonathan is a specialist Cardiologist working at Waitemata Cardiology and also at North Shore Hospital. He graduated from Auckland Medical School and trained in Tauranga and Auckland before moving to the USA, undertaking Fellowships at the Universities of Virginia and Rochester, New York.

His clinical practice is general cardiology and he has a special focus in non-invasive imaging, including cardiac MRI, CT coronary angiography and nuclear perfusion imaging. He also has a keen interest in medical education, and was recently appointed Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Auckland.

Jonathan is the Chief Medical Officer of Te Whatu Ora Waitemata, and chairs several national and regional clinical governance committees and boards.
